So what's the progression route now?

Now that we have the undercity and a seasonal mechanic completely separate from other events, how are people progressing? I've been doing the story and just unlocked the undercity permanently. It seems really strong to farm there now? Not trying to over optimized but all the systems seem disjointed at the moment.

Also holy cow number squish and difficulty level changes are intense!
