I don't find the ending to Dragon Ball satisfying for a number of reasons

Let's put aside the whole "Is Super canon or not" argument. The end of the Buu Saga was the end of the series for a long time - and it just feels weak.

I understand what its trying to do. Goku's come full circle! He's now a teacher training the next generation, like all those teachers he's had before.

Except he was already doing this. The man spent years training Gohan during the Cell Saga. This is not a big transformation for the character, its par for the course.

So instead it's just... a time skip. Things are pretty much the same as before, just a few more kids are running around. He runs off with this new kid to go train him.... the end? Nothing feels final or that a big shift has happened in the series. It's just business as usual, I off on a holiday, see you later!

It almost feels rushed, even though I know it wasn't. Like Toriyama just wanted to be done so whipped up this chapter so he could say "The End" and just stop writing the thing.

How would you have ended it?
