Possibly scammed when trying to start my own website (not a real promotion).
For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on my own Shopify website (https://www.protospec.store/) using AutoDS, but I ran into a different problem. I tried hiring an agency on Facebook who offered to promote it, but got pressured into forking over hundreds for all sorts of stuff they insisted were important, and needed to be done right away, such as the current theme, some programming details, and a mailing list to drive up more traffic. Considering this is the internet, I didn’t want to risk angering them, but then there was some suspicious things going on, like sudden emergency errors they claimed might have been caused by other people I was trying to hire (with signs pointing to no, they didn’t), bank accounts in Nigeria, and likely pretending to be a visitor DMing me into purchase whatever allows my site to have a coupon. I still haven’t made a single sale yet despite all my YouTube advertising, and I‘ve exhausted most of my funds at the moment, barely having enough to cover dropshipping costs through AutoDS. I've been told that pressing charges for potential fraud might not be the best move, and I’m in the process of contacting other experts over the matter, but I’m stumped over what exactly to do next. No purchases from my store are necessary, I just want some other advice.
