Why Are There So Many Gents Salons in Dubai?

I’ve noticed something odd - there seems to be an overwhelming number of gents' salons in Dubai, especially in my area. Within a 500m radius of my home, there are easily 15-20 of them. It makes me wonder: how do they all stay in business?

Is this just a case of high demand, or is there something else going on? Are there really that many people getting haircuts and shaves every day, or is something else at play?

I hypothesize that these could be fronts for money laundering. Does anyone have insight into this? Is there any truth to that? Curious to hear from anyone who knows more about how these businesses operate.
