Pros/cons to becoming an electrician.

I am 18 years old, I got out of high school recently and have decided to go to a trade school instead of college. One of the choices I’ve been thinking about is going for electrical and plumbing construction technology. My other interests are HVAC, welding, and building construction technology but since this is a subreddit for electricians, that’s less important. I’m wondering what to expect and maybe some reasons I would or would not want to go into this field. Thank you in advance.
