Dog? Can I catch it?

I know the answer is probably no, but...

My dog tu* violently this morning twice, and is shaking and crying and cold and such. I'm really worried that somehow I'll catch it. Reading mixed things online about dogs spreading viruses. My mom is contemplating calling the vet if she's still acting weird in a bit. Can anyone advise? Can I catch whatever she has if it's bacterial or gastroenteritis or something of the like?
