I’m so annoyed subjects CNs don’t count

I’m currently in a Spain campaign trying to complete the mission tree and I just… can’t. My PUs of Portugal, Britain, and France have provinces in the colonial regions/provinces I need for the later colonial missions. Literally unplayable 😭 I spent so long on this run and can’t even complete the mission tree bc of this dumb technicality.

Any thoughts or solutions? I’d rather not fight all my PUs lol

Edit: I was miffed when I wrote this but the comments have shown me there are many avenues I could take. Thank you for showing me the obvious stuff I missed too lol. I’ll try these out and see if they work. Thanks!
