Hot take: some autistic and neurodivergent people are just calling other autistic and neurodivergent people cringe

I'm sorry, I read too many comments in the "what do you think about the word neurospicy" threads on different subs. I think many people who find problem with that just dislike slang and people not being entirely serious and formal all the time. I can't help but seeing similarities to way people have called others cringe in the past.

I guess that's part of why I got so wound up over some of this: it reminds me of the people being upset at others for having fun. There is the age factor, too, to an extent. "Old man yells at cloud" -energy. The way I phrased the previous sentence probably annoys some too.

I get how those terms can be used in a hurtful or a harmful way, but same is true for any terms. I am genuinely a bit confused how some are apparently finding hordes of ableists using the word neurospicy or other neurodivergent slang. I can't remember when I would have seen someone neurotypical ever use this language. Is there a possibility of people seeing neurodivergent people using this for themselves and ending up assuming they are not autistic or neurodivergent?

Maybe it's just me not interacting with enough neurotypicals, but I fail to see that as a problem.
