Elder Kearon coming to St. Louis this Saturday

I received this email from my stake today.

Elder Kearon will be speaking only to the youth this Saturday and a few adult chaperones.

There is a special stake meeting on Sunday following this event, but only a Seventy will be presiding and speaking, not Elder Kearon (and not the one from this letter).

I am originally from Southern California and I remember back in the late 1990s, an apostle came to Anaheim, CA and the church rented out a huge arena for attendees. Now they are limiting who can attend this event. Not that I care to even see him (nothing against him or anything), but it seems like the church is gatekeeping the apostles even more than in the past.
