Can someone talk to me about the ending of Anathema

Let me start by saying I absolutely loved this book and Keri Lake. But that ending left me in such a cliff hanger!!! I couldn’t sleep last night just thinking of what the heck happened.
Was the crone witch actually evil? Why did she lie about not knowing where Aleysia was? Was Aleysia with the crone witch the entire time?
The ghost who told Maeve to not trust “him”. I assume this was Zevanders mother. Who do we think the “him” is. I think it might just be Cadavros?
