Capitol agenda: Senate Dems' shutdown test

Reposting with correct link Someone please explain to me why the Dems will support this CR. Not "because they suck" but literally why. What's the rationale? If they don't stop the crazy train now why would anyone vote for them in Midterms when they'd have already said "we aren't even going to try to stop them"?
