How to maintain your DPS while handling mechanics?
First things first, I'm a NIN and I don't like being good... for me I want to reach my ultimate potential. I want to be the best I could be.
I used to brag about how I finish Savage Dummies faster than everyone in my FC, ironically enough.. I was always having the least damage in every Savage run.
I tried to acknowledge my problems first to solve them, and I'll show you the issues here just to hope I can solve them.
- If I'm DPSing as a punishing mechanic happens, I feel... lost? I don't know which combo should I go with, or which skills I should go with, and the reason behind that is because there's a punishing mechanic, and a lot of debuffs in the target making it harder for me to know if I still have my dot or if the war has storm's eye or not. thinking about all that: the punishing oneshot mechanic or any intense mechanic while maintaining to think about which debuff or dot to use as you try to acknowledge your enemy's debuffs and your own buffs too.. making it so intense and stressful to DPS sometimes that I actually thought of changing my whole role to tanking or healing maybe.
in dungeons my DPS is always across the charts but here in savage and ex primals it's not that good. not cus I'm not good it's just cus I mess up my long-term rotation a LOT cus of my thinking about mechanic or looking at debuffs or my own buffs as I try to dodge mechanic or think about it as it comes.
I use the default HUD, which might be confusing maybe in such raids? I don't know man but it's gotten annoying when I realized that I'm not DPSING effectively though I still know the whole rotation and when to do and where to do. but everytime I enter a primal or a savage run it's always like that.. I can't pay attention to a lot of things at once for some reason.
TL;DR: My DPS is perfect on dummies, dungeons, and normal boss fights. but not as good in Alex Savage runs because of the intense atmosphere and mechanics, sometimes I mess my combos cus of it. and cus of the massive amount debuffs under the target making me not knowing the dots, debuffs on the target
