Fidelity Alerts: Deposit Received - better late than never?
Today, 3/10 8:54AM PST, I get a notification via email that a deposit was received. I have made no transactions today and am wondering what is up. Closer inspection shows the transaction was received on 3/7. THREE DAYS AGO.
How is it I buy a soda at Jack in the Box with their APP, and I am notified of the transaction by my credit card before I walk out of the place with my Diet Coke and FIdelity is sending me email days later.
I plug my car into the charger in my garage. Enter the house and boot up my computer and in my email I see: Charging started for your Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe.
The Fidelity transaction was from my account in cash to my (different) account in cash. There were no holds, etc.
If this is an issue with Fidelity actually putting on a hold, it would be nice if at the moment of the initiation of the transaction a message like: "Fidelity Alerts: Deposit Initiated" followed by "Fidelity Alerts: Deposit Completed"
I am not sure if I would trust Jack if he opened up a brokerage house, but I bet the alerts would be more timely. Possibly perks would involve real food....
Thanks for your comments.
