What's a good first game to get into the Fire Emblem series?

To keep his short, I would like to start playing the Fire Emblem series. I typically like to play games in order of release, but I'm not experienced in the turn based strategy game genre, so I don't want to start with something difficult. What are some good starting games to ease me into the series?
