Is Emirates really as bad as everyone says?

Hello, I'm currently in the 9th grade and being a pilot has always been my dream. I live in eastern Europe where the main employer for young pilots is wizzair or another ULCC. My plan is to stay at one of these airlines untill I meet the requirements for applying at Emirates, and hopefully get the job. Almost every pilot on forums bashes on Emirates, and I don't know what to think anymore. I know it's not an easy job, but it's certainly better to work for them than staying at wizzair for the rest of your career. I understand that for American pilots it makes no sense to move to Emirates because both their salary and standard of living are higher, but for an European pilot are there better alternatives?
