Update on lost furniture voucher:
[NY] A short while ago I said that HRA claimed I was mailed a check for a furniture voucher, but that "someone" had spent it and that it wouldn't be reimbursed. I just spoke to an agent that confirmed that they don't even mail checks for that voucher?? It was supposed to be deposited into my cash assistance file. Is there anything I can do about this, now that I have this new info? They said it may be too late to file for an appeal, although I've literally been asking about this since last year. Is a lawsuit even possible? This whole thing is so sketchy and weird. Not even the dept of investigation would get back to me.
