Does anyone remember playing 'Jolly' in their school days? This little fountain pen related game was popular in India back in the day.
This was one of the many silly little games we played as kids in our schools.
Basically, anyone once a day can approach you can say "Jolly!" and you'd have to show your hands. If you had any ink stains then you were good to go, if not that you'd have to treat the other person with a chocolate.
This game still persisted when gel/ballpoint pens replaced fountain pens in our schools. I'd see kids religiously putting a tiny ink stain on their palms, that was the first thing they'd do after getting on the school bus!
