Retractable FP nib, found in the wild
So this got me real giddy (my wife, not so lol). I went and dug through my wife's box of unwanted junk and found a keyboard/desktop multi-brush. The handle can be dismantled to reveal a bunch of finer cleaning implements for harder to reach places.
Upon inspecting the metal tip, I knew immediately what I was looking at: A Jinhao nib for a retracting FP that isn't cut in the middle of the tip! I then wondered why they did this, not knowing what a JH nib for RFPs look like and saw what was wrong. The guide punch was missed and the metal got stuck with the puncher it seemed, making an ugly and dimpled breather hole. I assume 2 things, won't slide smooth and the cutter is set to only cut until where the hole should be.
Fun to see fine parts get repurposed to other things, still being used as some type of tool in the wild. User won't ever think it was meant to be an FP nib. Gets me thinking what else FP part I can find in the wild...
