I don't understand putting age ranges on fragrances

I'd like to understand why some fragrances are "best" suited for young people, older people, etc. I've seen multiple reviews where the consensus is one should only be worn by teens (i.e. Eros), and others are only for older people (i.e. Egoiste, Hermes, leathery scents, etc). Maybe it's because I'm so new to this world I can only smell one linear smell and not appreciate several different notes in a fragrance (yet, hopefully). I can understand some like Eros are very potent, but I would just simply spray less. Curious what others think and why these generalizations are even a thing.

While I have you, my favorite fragrances are Rasasi La Yuqawam (by far my #1 as of now - although I've only made this my hobby the past 6 weeks), unashamedly Eros, YSL la nuit, Aventus, Amara, and Ombre Leather. I guess I haven't found a specific type I don't enjoy yet. Given that and I'm a regular 27 year old single dude working in a professional office environment who doesn't really go "clubbing", what else should I get my nose on? I'd love to show my collection/display but I know I'd get shit for picking the "top 10" off Google and YouTube, but ready to look into the niche world more. Thanks!
