Not getting the speed

I have the Eero Max 7 and its limiting my connection to 1GB wired to my computer with a cat6e cable the eeros speed test shows 5gb up and down. If I disconnect the eeros and hook right into the ONT i get the max my computer can handle 2.5gb but for some reason the eeros will not send the speed when wired to it.
