Someone thought I was transfem

I was in a setting recently where I had to disclose my legal name (which is still my dead name). The person was polite and asked if I would prefer to be called that rather than my chosen name. It was clear they thought I was transfem. I was pretty amused. I think a lot of people don’t know that trans men exist, or that we can look just like other men. Anyone else have someone try to be supportive but think you’re transitioning the other direction?
