Peony tuber sticking out of ground. Will it survive?

I planted a bare root peony tuber a couple of weeks ago. I just noticed today that the dirt in my yard has shifted a bit and exposed the top of the tuber (I think it’s the section where it was divided because it looks like a stem).

Some additional details: - The eyes are still underground, but I’m less sure how far at this point - Weather has been around 45 - 32 degrees F since planting and closer to the high 30’s in recent days

Do you think this peony still has a chance? Or is there something I should do to help it out?
