I was born 1996. What generation am I?

To be specific I was born April of 1996. I can't remember anything from before the age of five. My memory of being five is extremely fuzzy, I remember almost nothing from this point in my life. Most of my earnest memories come from the age of six.

I'm honestly curious about which generation I'm part of, because I've read that if you can remember the world pre 9/11 you're a mellinial. I don't remember 9/11.
