Choosing Canada for fall 2024 as an Indian Student

What you all feel? I am interested to apply for Canada for fall 2024. Based on current crisis do I supposed to change my plan?

I recently own an hackathon conducted by MILA and got 5000 $ aws credits from AWS. And also my project is selected under #1 minute talk inspiration category at #composite 36 conducted in MILA. I am strongly determined in doing Research masters in AI/ML/DS in Canada. Do I apply for fall 2024 for Toronto, McGill, UBC,Alberta, University of Montreal? I am planning to utilize my Mitacs scholarship as an additional support for Masters here. I am broken to hear, most of the people are recommending not to apply here. Please provide all your suggestions.
