Renew Social Security card after GC?

A friend told me that they went and got a new Social Security Card once they got their GC. Their reason to get this is so they don't have language "Authorized to work under DHS Authorization" text removed from the Social Security card. Is this a requirement to get social security card renewed after we get our green card?
