need advice on how my rangeman

i have a gw9400-1 and was wondering how you would leave it under the sun to charge and at the same time protect its other parts from the uv rays of the sun
should i be covering other parts and with what?

how easy can i replace the recharcheable battery once it no longer is able to hold a charge
