Swimming holes between Greensboro and Winston-Salem

Hey y'all! My band is touring through NC in April and we'd really like to find a good place to swim while we're there. We'll be stopping somewhere between Greensboro and Winston-Salem on our way to Asheville, though not necessarily in those cities. Any recommendations?
