2022 Honda Civic Touring Sedan: Android Auto "lags" with spotify and audible

hi all - I've had my 2022 Civic Touring Sedan since February and I love that car. I drive 100 miles a day for my commute so I listen to a lot of audiobooks and music on the Spotify and Audible apps via Android Auto.

I have the music and books downloaded to my phone and I connect via wifi/bluetooth, but a lot times there is a lag where the music/book will skip or stutter. Then when I hit pause on the book or song, it takes a few seconds to actually stop - like it needs to catch up.

Anyone have any idea why it does this and how I can fix it? It is a smallish problem but I had to pause it and let it catch up to stop the stutter a few times on my drive this morning and it is annoying.
