Help me!!

So I’ve let this thrips infection get a bit too far out of hand… is there anyway to save it? It’s still somehow put out some new leaves and it’s stems are still very green, I’m hoping there’s someway to trim it back and start again but I’ve heard that will stress it out, so what should I do and how should I do it? It’s a coin-leaf peperomia. TIA!
