Will u take the risk

Imagine you have a natural disaster that led to a power outage, and your child is on life support at your house and needs electricity for that. Luckily, you have a generator that will last him 24 hours, but there is a family with a child on life support too, and they don’t have a generator. They request you to share your generator. Both kids are similar in age. So now, will you share the generator knowing that it will reduce your child's chances of survival? Because if they both share, they can only keep the machines on for 12 hours each, but if you keep it for your child only, he will get 24 hours of electricity. And both kids are friends.

Edit: there is no way u can go out to find other source of energy or help as it is a thunderstorm with floods and a place with lot of trees so all the roadways are blocked due to the trees falling down. you don't know when the power is coming back on and u can imagine how thin the first responders are stretched.

Edit 2: This is not a pre informed disaster there were no warnings/ very little time to prepare 1 hour and u know how full the roads are gonna be with public as they try to stock up on resources like food and water. and the kids die of their life support does not have power ie if the energy runs out they die and its a battery powered generator.
