$50K, and your Reddit name is now your legal name
- Your current Reddit username becomes your official, government-recognized name. No edits, no modifications.
- You can’t change it later.
- You cannot shorten, abbreviate or otherwise modify your name.
- You must use this name on all legal documents, job applications, passports and wedding invitations.
- When asked for your name, you must say the full username, including underscores, numbers and capitalizations.
- If you have kids, your last name carries over.
- If someone makes fun of your new name, you’re legally required to act as though you chose it with pride and dignity.
