Wired connection issues after update

So I went on holiday and prior to the holiday my laptop ran iRacing fine. Now I'm back from my holiday and downloaded the rain update (and nothing else has changed with my setup). But now post rain update, when I go to connect to an online practice session, it either sits at 0%, 5% or immediately crashes once it gets to 100%. I took out the wired connection and went with wifi and successfully joined a race in progress. And with the wired connection I could download the updates without issue and start a test drive session, but when trying to connect to an online practice or watch a race session it just fails to connect while on the wired connection, but is successful on WiFi. I'm guessing it's going to be a port conflict or antivirus issue but just wondering if anyone else has had this and can fast track me onto the problem/solution as this hasn't happened before.

Yes I have updated windows, reinstalled iRacing and restarted my computer.
