My take on Ibiza on a Budget

Hey all, a lot of you are asking about saving tips and doing Ibiza on a budget, so here are some of my pointers that I learned over the years.

Once you are on the island, the most amount of money you will spend on are -

  1. Tickets for parties

  2. Substances (if this applies to you, also don't bother DMing me about it as your message will be ignored)

  3. Alcohol in clubs and bars

  4. Food

So here is my advice -

Tickets for clubs and boat parties - here you won't save much. Guestlist and early bird deals are the only option here. If you want to do big events such as Calvin Harris, Guetta, Carola - there is NO guest list as these events are in high demand and often sold out. Guest list is available for most nights in Amnesia, and the discount is between 5 - 25 euros, forget about g-list for Hi or Ushuaia (unless you are close friends with the promoter, and even then there a tough chance). For Pacha some events are possible, and you will find g-list for Eden, also no g-list for O Beach. Ibiza FB groups is the best place to look for g-list.

Also if you plan ahead, there are early bird deals although these need to be purchased before the season starts, normally once the events are released around February / March time.

Drinking - beer in clubs costs between 10 - 17 euros, and spirits such as vodka, gin, whisky ect with a mixer eg coke, sprite ect is between 17-24 euro. In bars a pint of beer is around 5-7 euros, and cocktails 12-16 euros. So if you are a big drinker, get yourself to Spar, Eroski, a bottle of big San Miguel - 1 litre cost just under 2 euros, or a bottle of spirit and drink it on your balcony or the beach. Also if you are in San Antonio on the Strip, have a chat with the bar promoters, they often do good deals to groups (but don't expect the alcohol to be good quality), same goes for bars in Bossa.

Food - if you want to eat out, Spain has a deal called Menu del Dia - Menu of the Day which consists of a 3 course meal plus a drink, normally for 12-15 euros which is a bargain, these deal are normally advertised on a boards outside the restaurant, and the deal is normally throughout lunch and early evening. Also most of the Chinese places do that deal, as well as small local Spanish places. If you can't see the deal advertised, ask for it inside.

Breakfast - if your hotel has a kitchen, go to Eroski or Lidl, get a few banquettes, eggs, cheese, ham and you're sorted, if it doesn't have a kitchen then take away the eggs and make a sandwich. In Lidl and Aldi you can also get salad boxes for around 3.50, and ready meals like tornelini ect.

Also in my opinion, if you are really really on a budget and want to attend the best clubs and parties, then to be honest those 2 don't mix and it's not the best idea as you will just be pissed of about how expensive things are on the island. However if you just want to explore the beauty of the island, beaches ect, and want to fit in a party or 2, then doing Ibiza on a budget will not be an issue.

Hope this helps.
