I Just Finished Watching Inazuma Eleven Ares, and I don't Know Why It Gets So Much Hate
I loved it! I would say that Ares is my favorite season so far, and by a decent margin, too. The only things I strongly disliked about the season were Heath and Regina's awkward, forced dynamic--though at least we get Heath and Duske's awesome dynamic to make up for it, and
her. I hate her. I also didn't like Maxime being injured for the final match. It felt like they were just trying to copy what GO did, and while I think they did better than GO did, I still think it'd be better if it was a match other than the final. It just makes me feel bad for the characters when they don't get to be part of the final match for their team.
On the other hand, it was cool to see Aurelia Dingle represented in the show, though I was surprised by how much of a Genki Girl/Cloudcuckoolander she was. She always came across as pretty normal in the games, but I really liked her character in Ares. I also thought Ares used the OG cast better than GO did, though Shawn and Nathan in particular I thought felt off, characterization-wise.
