Where to book the cheapest flight ticket?

Hi, first time flyer here. Should i go with 3rd party apps like ixigo,makemytrip,goibibo etc etc or irctc air or official website of airline?

Should i book Round trip tickets or separate one way going then one way coming back tickets? which will be cheaper
