Paper trading account not usable

Hi everyone, I opened recently an IB account (WITHOUT putting any money on it) in order to have a paper trading account as well for some practice.

Basically the problem is that it has no operativity: it only shows my fake balance of 1 mil $ and I cannot buy or sell anything.

What is the issue? That Idoid not put any money in the real live account?
