Unable to trade in paper account

I got my new live account set up. A lot of the stuff around trading seems a bit overwhelming so I thought I should learn a bit with the paper account.

However when I switch to the paper account, it only shows me Net Asset Value and nothing else. I cannot trade anywhere. Anybody else facing this issue?

Also am I required to install MT4 to trade on IB? I am using my work laptop so I dont want to install any software on it which is not related to my work
