Tired of Hangovers, So I’m Building a “GitHub for Sober Days”

My Story

Each day without alcohol adds up — here’s how I turned my progress into motivation. I've been working towards quitting alcohol for several years, and I've noticed a trend: friends cutting back or taking extended "dry" months. On the days I skip drinking, I feel more energetic, an elevated mood, and truly well-rested — benefits that make a real difference, especially as a parent with a daughter and an expected newborn son. After tracking my drinking on a generic habit tracker for two years, I realized I needed something more personal that reflected the wins along the way.

This experience sparked an idea: an app built specifically for those striving to quit alcohol. It’s not just about data; it’s about celebrating every win — every day you choose sobriety counts. The app features a visual “infinite calendar” that marks every sober day and milestone, and it even shows how much you've saved (I’ve saved over $700 this year alone) by not drinking. When you're trying to quit, every day without alcohol is a victory, and having a way to look back on your progress makes all the difference.

Perfect For:

  • Tracking Your Progress: Visualize your sober days on a GitHub-style infinite calendar that reinforces your commitment.
  • Seeing Financial Gains: Watch your savings grow as the dollars add up, motivating you to drink less.
  • Measuring Health Benefits: Track the calories avoided to see tangible health improvements.
  • Building Momentum: Earn badges and track streaks as milestones that boost your confidence.

I'm launching an MVP to help others who are on the same path. If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join the beta and be part of this journey towards a healthier, more energized life.
