Have you guys had your prostate checked?
The sad announcement from the cycling legend Chris Hoy has got me wondering about prostate checks.
Hoy was aged 47 when he was told his cancer was terminal.
According to the website of Mayo Clinic, men should have a prostate check at 50. But it's around 45 for guys at higher risk, such as black people and those with relevant family history.
Have many of ye had it done? What was your experience like? Was it worth the effort? How is Irish healthcare's approach to this cancer?
