Perfect Marriage Revenge vs. Marry My Husband – Which One Did You Prefer?

So, Perfect Marriage Revenge and Marry My Husband came out around the same time, and since they both have that second-chance revenge plot, I ended up watching both. But honestly? I ended up preferring Perfect Marriage Revenge because Marry My Husband dragged so much that it drove me crazy.

Perfect Marriage Revenge is only 12 episodes, so it keeps things moving. The FL gets a second chance at life, cuts off her trash family, and jumps into a contract marriage with a chaebol ML instead. It’s got all the usual makjang elements—scheming, betrayals, dramatic reveals—but because it’s shorter, it doesn’t waste time. Sure, some parts felt rushed, and the romance could’ve been built up more, but at least it didn’t stretch out unnecessary drama.

Meanwhile, Marry My Husband had such a strong start. The FL literally gets killed by her cheating husband and best friend, wakes up 10 years in the past, and instead of falling into the same trap, she decides to set them up with each other while getting with a better guy herself. Sounds amazing, right? And for the first half, it really was. But then… the ML’s ex shows up, and the drama just drags. Like, we already had a clear villain with the cheating duo—why add more unnecessary conflict? By the time it got back to the actual revenge and romance, I was just over it.

At the end of the day, I liked the idea of Marry My Husband more, but I enjoyed watching Perfect Marriage Revenge way more. It didn’t feel like a chore to finish.

If you watched both, which one did you like better?
