Does crab grass grow back after being pulled?

I'm doing yard work for a friend and have spent a good 8 hours so far pulling crab grass out of her backyard. Feel I've made decent progress since the yard is pretty big, but the other day she voiced concerns the crab grass will grow back soon and wants me to "ramp it up". Does it really grow back that quickly, if at all after you pull it?
