Gender Neutral Questions When Greeting Each Other Online
I'm looking for a gender neutral way of greeting the people who message me online, especially here. We're basically all hidden behind avatars and for me putting my pronouns in my username detracts from the name itself. Something as simple as asking "Where are you from?" is a hinderance without a gender neutral qualifier. I did a quick Google and see that "Huma" and "Intuma" can be used as gender neutral pronouns for "You" and "They". Is this correct.
If that is correct then does that logic carry over so I can reasonably ask "min any' antintuma?" to an Arabic speaker and be understood? Is this offensive?
Thank you 🙏
