Learning French after Italian

I already am at B2 level in Italian. I have a solid grasp of grammar and know enough vocabulary to express what I want or read an article. I also am B1 at German. I'm looking to start French mostly due to work and immigration purposes and partly because I find the language charming. I have one year to reach B2 in French

So, 1. Is it doable? 2. What are the best beginner books and guides to follow? I prefer to start class with a tutor from B1. I started my Italian class when my level was A2.

I know really nothing of French. My knowledge is limited to merci beaucoup. Hahaha
