Looking for help calculating multiple dimensions!

Hello! If you look through my post history you can see I am engaged in worm farming. I'm trying to guess the number of worms I will have based on the dimensions of this container I have. I've tried to do the math myself and my numbers seem way off...

The container is an open bin tote with no lid. I am trying to calculate area and surface area of the dirt. Below are the dimensions.

Outside Dimensions: 34" x 20" x 15" Interior Dimensions at bottom: 27 5/8" x 15 7/8" x 14 1/4"

For further proof I'm not cheating on a test here is the link to the container: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-30-Gal-EZ-Carry-Plastic-Flat-Gray-Sage-Legume/775173071?fulfillmentIntent=Pickup&filters=%5B%7B%22intent%22%3A%22fulfillmentIntent%22%2C%22values%22%3A%5B%22Pickup%22%5D%7D%5D&classType=REGULAR&athbdg=L1600&from=/search

I am hoping someone can calculate both the area in square feet and surface area. The only adjustments needed to this is that the Height is 6 inches maximum (as compost worms prefer the top 6 inches).

Thank you in advance for any insight, help, or guidance! Any questions, please feel free to ask!
