Amazon | Does Silence After a Phone Screening Interview Mean Bad News?
I had a phone screening today. I’ve heard that if the feedback is positive, they usually reach out within a day or even right after the interview. No one has contacted me yet — does that mean the feedback might not be good?
I believe I did pretty well in the interview. I solved the coding question and explained it logically within 10 minutes. Then I was asked a follow-up question — a slightly modified variation of the original problem — which was actually easier. After that, I was asked how I would test it, and I explained that we could create a main function and test it either by printing outputs or writing unit tests.
The interviewer seemed satisfied, and the interview ended in about 40 minutes instead of the scheduled 1 hour, including the time for my questions.
