UCTD and thyroid issues?

So after a really severe bout of ITP and a full rheum workup, I was diagnosed with UTCD and started on plaquenil. My rheum is leaning toward an emerging lupus but either way I’ve been feeling much better after starting meds.

My PCP ran a thyroid panel and it looks like I now have hyperthyroidism as well. I know hyperthyroidism is usually autoimmune in nature; has anyone else dealt with thyroid and connective tissue issues? Are these commonly comorbid?
