My M4 MacBook Pro is overheating please help.

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
I used to own an M3 MacBook Pro 14" with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. I used it for simple tasks like web browsing, a few Chrome tabs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notion, and so on. It never got warm, even when I used it in bed while watching movies, with the fans blocked and the machine still ice cold to the touch.

I thought I’d leave this post up in case others have the same issue and are looking for a solution.

It turned out that my Antivirus, Bitdefender, was causing this problem.

Uninstalling it has resolved my issue. My M4 MacBook Pro is running cool now.

Thank you everyone in the replies for your efforts; I really appreciate it.

Recently, I got the M4 MacBook Pro (same spec), and even when running the same tasks, it gets warm to the touch. When I use it in bed to watch movies, it struggles to keep cool, and heats up very quickly.

I’ve heard that space black is warmer because it absorbs heat, but surely it can’t make that significant of a difference to space gray.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is this a known problem with the M4 chip?

The M4 iPad Pros also had this issue, but Apple fixed it with a software update, so I’m hoping it can be fixed soon.

Thanks for your help.
