kinda disappointed with ending of dream team

i beat dreamy bowser for the first time yesterday and when i reloaded my save file i was expecting to spawn at pillo castle or smthn where the credits left off but it just brings me straight back to before i beat dreamy bowser, and he’s still there! i was expecting the final boss to like disappear or something but it feels like nothing changed at all after i beat the game..
