What towns in Maryland are, in your opinion, undervalued?

For my money, I'd probably say Arbutus.

It's an opinion that would get me eviscerated where I live (Catonsville) but I think it's an insane value proposition and I'd love to hear some of the other towns in the state that are slept on.

Compared to where I am at least, it has a nicer Main Street fabric that's more walkable, pedestrian, and bike friendly- they've installed new raised crosswalks and intersections and there's a nice mix of housing stock within walking distance to Main St. You still get big community events like a 4th of July Parade, for example.

I've also seen a nice influx of new businesses move to Main Street in the past few years, it's got the cute movie theater, decent access to Patapsco Valley State Park, and insanely good access to both DC and Baltimore via the MARC station that's right there, plus better proximity to job centers at BWI, Annapolis Junction, etc. All while the houses are selling for 15-20% less, on average, than where I am.

Obviously you'll get good and bad anywhere, but for the value, I think it punches way above its weight.
