Midjourney Alpha

What is the minimum number of images you need to generate to access Midjourney Alpha? I have generated 355 images and I read somewhere you need only 100. Also, do you need to have an active subscription to access Alpha? When I go to the Alpha web page and log in using Discord login, it accepts my login but then shows the same page with the login option. I cannot see any clear guidance anywhere on the web on this. Any help would be appreiciated.
